The All Progressives Congress (APC) Polling Units Chairmen Forum of the Ringim/Taura Federal Constituency in Jigawa State has demanded the replacement of the serving Member House Representative representing the Constituency Hon. Sa’adu Wada with the Commissioner for Special Duties and Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Auwal Dalladi Sankara in 2027 general election.The forum declared this during a solidarity rally held in Taura town, headquarters of Taura Local Government Area, at Governor Umar Namadi’s “Government–Citizens Engagement Forum.”Speaking to journalists, the forum’s chairman, Malam Ibrahim Sani Majiya, said the decision was unanimous among all polling unit chairmen in the constituency.“We, the APC Polling Units Chairmen of Ringim/Taura Federal Constituency, have unanimously endorsed Hon. Auwal Danladi Sankara for the House of Representatives seat in 2027,” he said.Sani explained that the forum deliberately chose the venue and timing of the rally to publicly appeal to Governor Namadi to support their request for Sankara to represent them at the National Assembly.He said the endorsement was driven by a collective desire for a more competent, responsive, and development-focused representation capable of attracting federal projects and democratic dividends to the constituency. “Our decision followed our desire for a more competent and effective representation. We are confident that Hon. Auwal OC will deliver successfully,” Sani stated.He lamented that past representatives had failed to make meaningful impact, adding that the constituency now yearns for a leader with proven commitment, compassion, and performance.“As Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Sankara has distinguished himself through outstanding service. This has earned him Governor Namadi’s confidence, recognition from the State Executive Council, and widespread popularity. That is why he is celebrated as ‘Jakadan Alkhairi’ across Jigawa State,” he added.Sani further assured that he and other constituents would mobilise support to persuade Sankara to accept their call, even if it requires appealing directly to the governor and other political stakeholders.Similarly, another stakeholder, Sani Shawai from Taura, said his group was prepared to contribute funds to purchase the 2027 nomination form for Hon. Sankara. He described their push as a “rescue mission” aimed at reversing years of poor representation.“This is a rescue mission. We are determined to liberate the constituency from amateur politicians who do not care about the people’s plight and who have failed to emulate Governor Umar Namadi’s exemplary leadership,” he said.During the town hall meeting, the venue echoed with chants in support of Hon. Sankara.The incumbent House of Representatives member, Hon. Sa’adu Wada Taura, was present but reportedly refrained from speaking to avoid possible embarrassment.
