The Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN) has inaugurated its pioneer elected executives for the Jigawa State chapter, marking a new phase of organised private security practice in the state.
The inauguration, held on Tuesday in Dutse, was supervised by the Zonal Chairman (Zone B) of ALPSPN, Mr. Dauda Ageni, who charged the new officials to uphold ethical standards, professionalism and the rule of law in line with global best practices and the association’s constitution.
Ageni, represented by the Zonal Secretary, Mr. Kabir Nasir, urged the leadership to prioritise professionalism, dedication, member welfare and public confidence in the discharge of their duties.
Truths Finder reports that Zubairu Ahmad of Kare-Kallo Global Security (KAGLOS) was sworn in as State Chairman, while Haruna Danjuma of Jumad Security emerged Vice Chairman, both returned unopposed by the electoral committee.Other officials inaugurated include Alhaji Abdulkadir Salisu of KALGOS as Secretary, Murtala Abdullahi of Pama Global Security as Assistant Secretary, Nazifi Usman of Shara Security Services as Financial Secretary, and Aminu Abubakar of Corporate Security as Treasurer.Also inaugurated were Baffa Musa of Kabanti Ltd as Welfare Officer, Sani Musa of Ajebo Nig. Ltd as Public Relations Officer, and Dini Yahaya as Provost.
Anthony Mesiah of King’s Guards and Ibrahim Muhammad were inaugurated as ex-officio members.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Head of Private Guard Companies (PGCs) Department of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state, DCC Nasir Musa, urged the executives to be honest and transparent in handling the affairs of the chapter to ensure a smooth and productive tenure.In his remarks, the newly inaugurated chairman, Ahmad, thanked members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to reposition the association for greater impact.
“The inauguration of this chapter means a lot for private security operations. We will focus on capacity building, professional training, collaboration with security agencies, regulatory compliance, ethical standards and welfare for the betterment of our members,” he assured.
He further promised to promote best practices and create an enabling platform for mentorship, guidance and professional support within the association.The event drew private security operators from Kaduna, Kano and Jigawa states.
