The National Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the appointment of Hon. Engr. Magaji Dau Aliyu, PhD, mni, as Secretary of the party’s Congress Committee for Nasarawa State.
The appointment, according to party sources, underscores the confidence reposed in Aliyu’s leadership acumen, administrative competence and unwavering commitment to the progressive ideals of the ruling party.
The Congress Committee occupies a strategic position within the party structure, with the responsibility of strengthening internal democracy, ensuring transparency and coordinating the smooth conduct of congresses in line with constitutional provisions and democratic best practices.

Engr. Aliyu’s elevation comes on the heels of his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Managing Director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Abuja.
His appointment was conveyed in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
A former lawmaker, Aliyu also currently Deputy Director General (North) of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) and is widely regarded as a grassroots APC stalwart in Jigawa State.
Party stakeholders describe his latest assignment as a testament to his growing influence within the APC and a reflection of the leadership’s resolve to entrust critical responsibilities to tested and loyal party figures.
