The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled a comprehensive timetable for its series of party congresses and National Convention as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Truths Finder reports that the National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Basiru, disclosed that notices for ward and local government congresses will be issued on February 2, 2026, while the sale and submission of nomination forms will take place between February 4 and 9.

According to the schedule, ward congresses are slated for February 18, followed by local government congresses on February 20. The party will also receive and consider appeals arising from the exercises between February 21 and 22.

State congresses are fixed for March 7, 2026, while the zonal congresses across the six geopolitical zones are scheduled for March 21.

The timetable will culminate in the APC National Convention, expected to hold from March 25 to 28, 2026, marking the final phase of the party’s internal preparations ahead of the 2027 polls.

Political observers note that the congresses will be particularly significant in states where governors recently defected to the APC, as the exercises are widely seen as a test of their political strength and capacity to consolidate party structures within their states.
