The Chairman of Birninkudu Local Government council, Dr. Muhammad Uba, had led a peace meeting between farmers and herders after clash caused by some Fulani herders has trespassed farmlands and destroyed some farm products.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the special adviser to the local council chairman on media and publicity, Mr Ishak Ibrahim, obtained by Truths Finder said “an action has resulted in the destruction of crops and injuries to six people in Kangire community”.

According the statement the council chairman Dr. Muhammad Uba reiterated that Birnin Kudu Local Government will not tolerate any conflict or anything that threatens peaceful coexistence. Ishak Ibrahim noted that, the council boss reminded residents of the problems previously faced from fraudsters, and thanked God that, with the strict security measures currently in place, such issues have been brought under control.

He called on everyone to remain calm and abide by the law to ensure lasting peace in Birnin Kudu Local Government.

The media aid to the council boss added that “in fulfilling his leadership responsibility, the Chairman assumed full responsibility for the treatment of all those injured”.

He said the local government council donated relief materials to the victims from both sides of farmers and herders to the victims of the crisis to ease their sufferings, “the relief materials included cash, nine bags of rice, nine bags of millet and nine bags of guinea corn”.

Others relief items are Mats, Wrappers,Carpets and blankets.

The community expressed happiness and gratitude for the Chairman’s efforts and commitment to maintaining peace and prayed for Allah to reward him abundantly and grant him continued good leadership for Birnin Kudu Local Government.
