The National Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Aisha Ibrahim, has led a high-powered delegation on a condolence visit to the Association’s National Secretary, Wasila Ibrahim Ladan, and the Jigawa State Chairperson, Hauwa Ibrahim Ladan, following the death of their mother.
The late matriarch died last Wednesday in Kuntau, Kano State, leaving behind family members, friends and colleagues who have continued to mourn her passing.
Leading the delegation, Comrade Aisha Ibrahim described the deceased as a virtuous, God-fearing woman whose prayers, guidance and unwavering support played a significant role in the lives and achievements of her daughters.
She prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant her Aljannah Firdaus, and bless the bereaved family with the strength and patience to bear the painful loss.

The delegation included the NAWOJ Zone A Secretary, Comrade Daharatu A. Aliyu; Kano State Chairperson, Comrade Bahijja Kabara; Kaduna State Chairperson, Comrade Sahura Maidoki; Jigawa State Treasurer, Comrade Nafisa Hassan; Jigawa State Financial Secretary, Comrade Sadiya I. Musa; and the Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties and Projects to the National Chairperson, Comrade Sarah Ogodo.
The visiting team also extended heartfelt condolences to the entire Ladan family, praying for divine comfort and eternal rest for the deceased.
The visit underscored the spirit of solidarity and compassion within the association as members rallied around their colleagues during the period of mourning.
