The Director-General of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) and former Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has pledged to mobilise grassroots support across Northern Nigeria for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in the 2027 general elections.
Badaru gave the assurance in Abuja during the unveiling of the A4A campaign headquarters and the inauguration of its campaign structure, reaffirming the group’s commitment to building an extensive mobilisation network across the North for Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former Minister of Defence said A4A was established on the conviction that President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima had demonstrated purposeful leadership and deserved another mandate to consolidate the administration’s achievements and ongoing programmes.
He said the organisation would take the message of continuity, development and consolidation to communities across the North through its grassroots structures.

Badaru, who served as the Tinubu-Shettima campaign coordinator for the North-West geopolitical zone in the 2023 presidential election, urged Nigerians in the region to rally behind the president ahead of the 2027 polls.
He assured the president and APC leadership that A4A would strengthen political mobilisation and coordinate support for the ruling party across Northern communities.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, who unveiled the headquarters and inaugurated the campaign structure, expressed confidence in the North’s continued support for President Tinubu and commended the initiative.
The event was attended by the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin; Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf; members of the National Assembly; ministers; presidential aides; former governors and other prominent political stakeholders.
The unveiling marks a fresh move by A4A to strengthen its organisational structure and grassroots mobilisation efforts in support of Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
