The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed N7,672,822 as the final fare for pilgrims from the state participating in the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage.
The board also set September 18, 2026, as the deadline for all intending pilgrims to complete payment of the fare.
This was contained in a statement issued by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Habibu Yusuf Babura, and made available to TRUTHS FINDER in Dutse, the state capital.

According to the statement, the Director-General of the board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, said pilgrims who had already paid the initial N7.5 million would only be required to pay an outstanding balance of N172,822.
Labbo urged pilgrims to settle the balance before the deadline, stressing the importance of completing all financial and registration requirements ahead of the pilgrimage.
He directed the board’s zonal officers to intensify sensitisation and mobilisation across the state to ensure that all registered pilgrims were properly informed and adequately prepared for the exercise.

The Director-General said the officers should work closely with pilgrims to complete all necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled September 26 departure date.
He warned that failure to comply with the payment deadline could create challenges for pilgrims’ participation in the pilgrimage.
Labbo also commended the board’s officials and zonal officers for their cooperation and commitment towards a successful Hajj operation.
He appreciated the Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, for his continued support to the state’s pilgrims, particularly the provision of loans aimed at safeguarding Hajj seats and helping intending pilgrims meet their financial obligations.
The board consequently urged all pilgrims to treat the September 18 deadline as sacrosanct and ensure that their outstanding balances were fully settled before the expiration of the payment period.
