The Jigawa State House of Assembly has congratulated Governor Malam Umar Namadi on his 63rd birthday, describing the milestone as symbolic of a defining era of development and progress in the state.

This was contained in a press statement personally signed by the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, and obtained by TRUTHS FINDER in Dutse, the state capital.

According to the statement, “On behalf of the Honourable Members, the Assembly Service Commission, and the staff of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, I am profoundly honoured to extend our warmest felicitations to you on the auspicious occasion of your 63rd birthday.

“Reaching this significant milestone is not only a testament to God’s grace upon your life, but also a moment of celebration for all of us who witness your tireless dedication to the service of our dear state. Your journey thus far has been marked by integrity, and your leadership continues to inspire many.”

The Speaker noted that under Namadi’s leadership, Jigawa State has recorded notable stability and progress, driven by the administration’s 12-point agenda.

“Your agenda is not just a policy document but a living promise being fulfilled through various developmental projects across our constituencies. As you mark this new age, we celebrate your wisdom, calm disposition in the face of challenges, and unwavering commitment to the Greater Jigawa project aimed at uplifting the vulnerable and empowering the youth,” he said.

Dangyatin also commended the cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government in the state, attributing it to the governor’s respect for institutional independence and democratic principles.

“This harmony is not by chance but a result of your deep respect for the independence of the legislature and your belief in checks and balances. Because of this, we have been able to pass critical, people-oriented legislation and budgets efficiently, ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the grassroots,” he added.

He further described Namadi’s pragmatic approach to governance as one that has fostered peace, collaboration, and synergy, noting that the Assembly sees the governor as a partner in the task of state-building.

“As you step into this new year, it is our collective prayer that Almighty Allah grants you good health, divine wisdom, and the strength to lead Jigawa State to even greater heights. May your days be long and filled with the joy of seeing the seeds of prosperity you have sown blossom for the benefit of all citizens,” the statement concluded.
