The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has unveiled an extensive grassroots mobilisation network across Jigawa State, with structures covering 287 political wards and 5,422 polling units ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The group disclosed this during the commissioning of its state headquarters in Dutse and the inauguration of Local Government Coordinators by its Deputy Director, North, Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu, mni.

Thousands of TSG members and All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from the 27 local government areas converged on the state capital for the ceremony, which attracted party leaders, serving and former public office holders and business personalities.

The newly commissioned headquarters, equipped with modern office furniture, information and communication technology facilities and other operational equipment, is expected to serve as the group’s coordination centre for political mobilisation across the state.

Speaking at the event, Aliyu, who is also the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Abuja, and a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, expressed satisfaction with the massive turnout of supporters and stakeholders.

He described the gathering as a demonstration of political commitment and the growing organisational strength of the TSG in Jigawa, urging members to sustain their mobilisation efforts and strengthen the group’s grassroots presence.

Aliyu disclosed that the group had established leadership structures across the state’s three senatorial districts, 11 federal constituencies, 31 state Assembly constituencies, 287 political wards and 5,422 polling units.

He said the structures were designed to strengthen grassroots engagement, coordinate supporters and ensure effective communication between the state leadership and the group’s regional and national headquarters.

The former two-term member of the House of Representatives also revealed that the group’s state and senatorial district leadership structures had been reconstituted to improve coordination, monitor activities and provide regular feedback on achievements and challenges.

He charged the newly inaugurated coordinators and other members to take responsibility for expanding the group’s influence in their respective communities and intensifying mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

On the political outlook, Aliyu declared that the North was prepared to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election, arguing that the President’s emergence after former President Muhammadu Buhari reflected an alleged political understanding between the North and the South-West.

He urged political stakeholders to remain united and committed to the President’s political ambition, expressing confidence in the group’s capacity to sustain its mobilisation drive.

Representatives of the various local government areas also pledged to strengthen the group’s structures, expand its activities and mobilise more supporters for Tinubu’s re-election.

The commissioning of the headquarters and inauguration of coordinators mark a further expansion of the TSG’s political organisation in Jigawa, with the group positioning itself to intensify grassroots mobilisation across the state’s 27 local government areas.
