The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Jigawa State, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, CON, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mrs. Mary Amaechi, mother of the party’s Vice Presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi.

In a condolence message personally signed by him, Senator Nakudu described the deceased as a virtuous matriarch, respected community leader and devoted Christian whose life was marked by unwavering faith, compassion, humility and selfless service to humanity.

He said the late Mrs. Amaechi nurtured values of discipline, integrity and love within her family, adding that her exemplary life would remain a source of inspiration to many beyond her immediate community.

According to the ADC governorship flag bearer, the passing of a mother is a painful loss, irrespective of age, noting that the deceased’s remarkable legacy of unity, kindness and dedication to God would continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Senator Nakudu extended his heartfelt condolences to Rotimi Amaechi, members of the Amaechi family, friends and associates, praying that Almighty God would comfort them during this difficult period and grant them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He also prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed, asking God to reward her good deeds and grant her eternal rest.

The former senator urged the bereaved family to take solace in the impactful life Mrs. Amaechi lived and the enduring values she bequeathed to her children and the society at large.

TRUTHS FINDER reports that Mrs. Amaechi passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of 89.
