The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, has urged party members and supporters to resist panic, remain united and sustain mobilisation despite Thursday’s court judgment challenging the Senator David Mark-led national leadership of the party.
Nakudu described the judgment as erroneous and a calculated attempt to distract the ADC from its political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement made available to Truths Finder in Dutse, the candidate’s Media Aide, Mr Mati Ali, said Nakudu had called on party faithful across Jigawa State not to allow the court development to weaken their commitment or disrupt their political engagements.
He urged members to remain steadfast, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and avoid actions that could undermine the party’s unity.
The ADC governorship candidate also pointed to the party’s recent presidential campaign rally in Kebbi State, which he said attracted a significantly larger crowd than the rally held in Sokoto on Wednesday.
Nakudu alleged that there were efforts to weaken the ADC and frustrate its candidates but insisted that such developments would not derail the party’s activities and campaign programmes across the country.
He directed ADC members and supporters in Jigawa to continue their normal party activities and mobilisation while awaiting further instructions from the National Headquarters.
He said the national leadership would take appropriate steps to address the legal development.
