The Kano State Government has openly accused former governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, of playing a major role in provoking terrorists to launch attacks in parts of the state.
The Nasara Radio Nigeria, reported that the Kano State government made the accusations on two prominent leaders of All Progressive Congress (APC) during the state executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, said there are indications that these political leaders are using terrorists to create unrest and cause public tension in some areas of Kano.
The executive council urged security agencies to immediately arrest the suspects in order to protect lives and property.
The government stressed that it will not tolerate any attempt to incite violence or use armed criminals for political gains, calling on the public to remain vigilant and assist security agencies with credible information.
